  • Condition: Painting a Hat - Nakoaktok, 1914
This print is in very good condition overall.
There is a very minor, soft handling crease in the right margin of the sheet, visible in raking light. (The image area is not affected.)

    A Hesquiat Woman, 1915
This print and vintage Van Gelder overmat are in very good condition overall.
There is very minor, age-related yellowing in the margins of the print. (The image area is not affected.)

Nootka Woman Wearing Cedar-Bark Blanket, 1915
This print and overmat are in very good condition overall.
The print has been backed, or lined, with another piece of gampi tissue paper. This has the effect of laterally stabilizing the print so that it is less susceptible to contraction and expansion from environmental conditions.
The overmat on this print is a hand-made, contemporary reproduction of the original Van Gelder overmat.
