  • Condition: Michoacan, Mexico. Hand-adzed or early milled wood. Six board chest with dovetail corners. Edge strip nailed to front end of top (lid) board. Red painted front and sides with residue of black double-eagle on front, a soldier, gold, green and lavender floral design. Plain lock plate added later, no hasp. Iron brad hinges. Appears to be in good condition with general wear and tear consistent with age.
